Galesburg Community Foundation Announces Turnout Grant Recipients

Share

As part of Community Foundation Month activities, Galesburg Community Foundation is pleased to announce the local nonprofit organizations receiving grant awards through their annual grant cycle, The Turnout. This grant cycle combines dollars from generous community donors who hold charitable funds at the Community Foundation along with dollars from the Community Foundation’s Impact Fund to fully fund nonprofit proposals providing services that better our region.

Community Foundation Director of Grants & Programs Tiffany Springer said, “The Turnout connects community members who love their community with local nonprofits providing valuable services in Knox and Warren Counties. The Turnout aims to empower our local nonprofits to tell their stories of impact and ask specifically for what they need to make their important work happen. This year thanks to the generosity of our Donor Advised Fund holders and community stakeholders, we were able to fully fund 77% of the proposals received. This truly speaks to the power of donors connecting with the causes they care about. The grants awarded in this cycle support exciting and important initiatives in the areas of art, health and education that each greatly contributes to the well-being of our communities.”

Thanks to generous Community Foundation fundholders and community stakeholders supporting the Community Foundation’s Impact Fund, through The Turnout, the following 43 nonprofits serving Knox and Warren Counties will receive full funding for the proposals submitted during this grant cycle:
