Geraldine Ann “Gerry” Roark, 80, of Galesburg, died at 11:37 a.m. Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Marigold Health Care and Rehab, Galesburg.

Gerry was born March 5, 1939 in Monmouth, the daughter of Lewis and Garnet (Baughman) Rauch.  She married Donald Ray Roark on May 16, 1959 in Monmouth.  He survives.  Gerry is also survived by three daughters, Vivian (Jerry) Baker of Dayton, OH, Linda Warfield of Mesa, AZ, and Ann (Jason) Shilling of Round Rock, TX; one son, Don R. Roark, Jr. of Galesburg; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.  Along with her parents, Gerry was preceded in death by one sister, Loretta Winkler. 

Gerry worked at Galesburg Community School District #205 for 32 years, 26 years as a crossing guard at Gale School and the last 6 years in the cafeteria at King School.  She retired at the end of the 2019 school year.  Gerry was artistic and enjoyed painting and drawing.  She was also a top notch cook and enjoyed collecting antiques.

Cremation rites will be accorded.  A visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg.  No funeral services are planned.  Memorials may be made to Beacon of Hope Hospice.  Online expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.watsonthomas.com.
