Ms. Billie L. Engle, 75, of Knoxville, Illinois passed away at 8:25 pm Thursday, December 19, 2019 at Seminary Manor.

Billie was born October 9, 1944 in Kirksville, Missouri the daughter of Arthur L. and Betty Morrow Bogeart. She married Robert W. Engle, they later divorced.

Billie is survived by her three daughters, Rebecca Engle of Knoxville, Robin (Ron) Boyd of Galesburg and Rachel (Tom) Crouch of Knoxville, Illinois; her step sister, Dorothy (Lewis) Woods; and five grandchildren, Robert M. (Lindy) Engle, Sarah Finegan, Taylor Durant, Joey Crouch and Addison Boyd; two great grandchildren, Isaiah and Veda Clark and numerous cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents and her step father Richard Johnson; her step mother, Dorothy Bogeart, a grandson, Matthew Finegan on April 27, 2001 and her step brother, Eddie Kirk.

Billie was a waitress for Northgate Lanes and Theresa’s Restaurant for several years. She later worked as a cashier for Jerry’s Superette for two years. Billie graduated from Galesburg High School in 1962. Billie enjoyed reading, crocheting and embroidery work.

Graveside Services are scheduled for 1:00 pm Friday, December 27, 2019 at LaPlata Cemetery in LaPlata, Missouri. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 pm Thursday, December 26, 2019 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel. Memorials may be made to the family.
