City Staff Address Parking in Downtown Monmouth

Share

At the recent Monmouth City Council meeting, Jeff Stanton of Stanton Insurance spoke to the Council on concerns about a lack of parking in the downtown square and potential solutions to the issue. Community Engagement Director Ken Helms has more:

“We have seen an increase in a lot of vehicles parking in there and we have had a couple of complaints about the lack of parking there. As staff, we have been looking around at what possibilities we have to address that. Whether it is enforcing the 20 minute or two hour parking, depending where it is at on the square, trying to find alternate parking spots for business owners and employees to park. It is an ongoing thing we have been looking at,” Helms shares.

The Monmouth City Staff are currently working on possible solutions and will present to the City Council in the near future.
