CRP Now Open

Share

The USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) has opened signup for the Conservation Reserve Program (CRP). District Conservationist Cathy Froelich has more:

“You need to come into FSA, which is the first place to start. Land eligibility is cropped four out of six years. Those years are 2012 to 2017. That is what the FSA will determine because you will come into their side of the building, get an aerial photo, highlight the area you are interested in, they will check your producer and land eligibility, and then they will give it to us. We will head out to the field and check and make sure it meets the eligible practice they are wanting and we will go from there,” Froelich shares.

General sign-up for the CRP will run until February 28, 2020.
