Mrs. Donna L. Alexander, 87, of Galesburg, Illinois, formerly of Lake Bracken, died 7:20 p.m. Sunday, December 22, 2019 at Aperion Care North, Galesburg. 

She was born August 14, 1932 in Galesburg to Le Roy and Bertha (McNew) Oberheizer.  She married Percy L. Alexander July 14, 1956 in Fort Madison, Iowa.  He preceded her in death March 14, 2014. 

Surviving is a son-in-law, Mike Jones of Maquon, Illinois, two grandsons, Brian Jones of Williston, North Dakota, and Tim (and Janae) Jones of Littleton, Colorado, two great grandchildren, Brittaney Jones and Brandon Jones, and two great-great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Rebecca “Becky” Jones on October 25, 2016.

Donna graduated from Galesburg High School.  She worked for Maytag Corporation as an assembler for 40 years.  She retired in 2005.  She enjoyed Bingo, bowling, playing cards and was a member of a Bunco Club. 

Visitation will be 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Service Galesburg Chapel.  Graveside service will be 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at East Linwood Cemetery, Galesburg.  Rev. Martin Briney will officiate.  Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.  Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com
