GRINNELL, Iowa — The Midwest Conference (MWC) announced its Performers of the Week award recipients for the week of November 25 – December 1, 2019 on Monday.

MWC sports information directors nominate student-athletes for the Performer of the Week honor by sport and winners are selected by the MWC staff.

For the winter season, Performers of the Week will be recognized every week on Monday (men’s and women’s basketball) and Tuesday (swimming & diving, indoor track & field) once their seasons have been triggered (three MWC institutions competing) and will conclude the week prior to the sport-specific Conference tournament/championship.

The Performers of the Week award winners are as follows:

Women’s Basketball Performer of the Week
Nyah Daniels, Knox College
Daniels led the Prairie Fire to a 79-71 comeback victory over Eureka Wednesday scoring 13 in the fourth quarter. Daniels scored 20 points total on 6-of-10 shooting, including a 3-for-7 showing from beyond the arc. She also grabbed two boards and a pair of steals.
