The Monmouth-Roseville school district is searching for a second math instructional coach.
The position is designed to help teach students Common Core and give assistance to Monmouth-Roseville math teachers.
Superintendent Ed Fletcher says the shift in math education is similar to the auto industry:
“I liken it to the automobile industry. Back in the 80s they did things in a certain way but all of a sudden, things changed in the 90s. The workers may not have changed. They had to be trained and taught how to do the new manufacturing process. It’s the same concept here.”
Fletcher also says the position is an open position.
