Senior Boxing Being Offered at Warren County Y

Share

The Warren County YMCA is offering a popular program called Senior Boxing.

The program, which is instructed by Jim Cook, is for people 55 years of age or older. The program trains seniors to improve strength, cardio and balance.

WCYMCA’s Stacy Bass says balance is important for senior citizens:

“As you get older, some of our top, leading causes of death, besides heart disease, are falls. So, balance is so important and that is why our is important to me too. Keep them moving, keep them healthy, and get that balance down.”

Senior Boxing “exploded” when it started, and now has 20 to 25 people in a class at a time.
