Lawrence “Dan” Taylor, 80, of Monmouth’s Legacy Estates, formerly of Little York, Illinois died Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.

Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 20th at Dennison Funeral Home, Aledo.  Burial will be in Aledo Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left for American Diabetes Association.

Lawrence D., and his twin sister Louise, were born June 30, 1939 at home in rural Seaton, Illinois to Oscar and Belva Hall Taylor.  Dan attended Bald Bluff School then graduated from Little York High School.  He farmed with his father in Bald Bluff Township for many years.  Dan enjoyed riding his lawnmower and even mowing his neighbor’s yards.  For several years, Dan helped his nephew Craig during harvest season. 

Those left to cherish his memory are his sisters:  Evelyn Stroops of Davenport, Iowa, twin sister:  Louise Woods of East Moline, Illinois and Joyce Jeffries of Beebe, Arkansas; many nieces and nephews and special friends:  Jenna and Justin Haun.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings:  Earl Taylor, Roy Taylor, Betty Gustafson and Phyllis Dunsworth.
