Change is coming to the Monmouth Country Club says club President Jeff Thompson:

“We went into kind of an experiment contracting with Chick’s to be the restaurant there a couple of years ago and the news as of late, obviously, is the end of this month Chick’s At The Club is going to close. That does not mean anything different as far as what we have offering in golf to our membership and folks that would possibly want to belong to Monmouth Country Club. We have a few folks that are going to go in with some redecorating ideas in today’s colors and it will be repainted, holes filled, cleaned up and it will look much different. We have decided to close the pool this year and that is probably permanently. That pool is decades old and has been about a $30,000 drain per year on the budget. We just have to be more financially responsible and to repair that pool would probably be and excess of $100,000 plus the $30,000 drain,” Thompson says.

Thompson states the golf course will be open with warmer weather on the horizon.
