WCHD : Low Risk for Coronavirus in U.S.

Stringent policies and procedures are put in place to combat the coronavirus making the risk very low in the United States. Jenna Link, Administrator at the Warren County Health Department, advises precautions we take now for the seasonal flu will help to prevent any outbreak:

“The things that we plan for every year with season flu or a pandemic flu, we have been talking about these plans for eleven years. They are in place, those procedures are in place. Our standard precautions at the hospital with personal protective, those should help with all of that. Things we are doing for the seasonal flu are going to help with any outbreak that may or may not happen,” Link reports.

Fever, cough, and shortness of breath are the showing symptoms for the coronavirus, but the key is having traveled to China or been in contact with someone who has.
