Gloria Elaine (Graffis) Florence, formerly of Oak Run, born October 4, 1926, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2020 at Seminary Manor in Galesburg.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert L. Florence and nine Graffis siblings.

Prior to eyesight problems, she enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and baking chocolate chip cookies. She sewed many bears to give to sick children, children at the church, and for the church auction. She was featured in the Galesburg Register-Mail because of her bear making.

She is survived by daughters, Donna (Clif) Weaver and Linda (Tom) Kordewick; grandchildren, Megan (Jason) Brodkey, Kali Kordewick, and Mike (Sommer) Kordewick; and great grandchildren Asher and Hazel Brodkey and Kailer, Kamden, and Kasen Kordewick; and many loving nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Dahinda United Methodist Church at a later date. Memorial gifts may be sent to Dahinda United Methodist Church or Hospice Compassus. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel is handling cremation arrangements for the family. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
