Great Bowls of Soup

Share

The Galesburg Civic Art Center is presenting the 14th annual Great Bowls of Soup Thursday, February 20.

The event, which is sold out, is a buffet-style event that showcases bowls from 15 different artists in the area along with soups from local businesses. Those who purchase a ticket will be able to keep a bowl from the event.

Great Bowls of Soup also has a Very Important Bowl ticket, where those who have purchased a ticket will be able to line up early. There will also be a 50/50 raffle and live music by the Knox-Galesburg Symphony.

Tuesday Cetin, Executive Director at the Galesburg Civic Art Center, tells us what to expect at the event.

“You get to taste all sorts of things that night. It’s really a buffet of soup options, which is amazing. You are tasting soups that may not necessarily be on their menu or are staples to their menu. It all comes together and provides a great night where you’re listening to music, eating good food, and you get this lovely bowl that you cherish for years.”

Great Bowls of Soup opens at five in the evening and ends at seven; the doors open for Very Important Bowl at 4:30.
