M-R Sports Boosters Hosted Annual Raffle

The Monmouth-Roseville Sports Boosters held their annual fundraiser raffle at Danny’s Tap in Monmouth on Saturday.

Monmouth-Roseville Athletic Director Jeremy Adolphson said the raffle was successful, but did not specify how much money was raised.

Adolphson said the Sports Boosters are essential for keeping the school district’s sports programs running.

“The thing is, a lot of the big items you see when you go to sporting events – the scoreboards that became new, the scorers table, new wrestling mats, along with a lot of smaller, training items for the sports programs we have – the boosters have either bought completely or went in with other groups to split the cost – so we can make our facilities look nicer, to help our athletes and our teams, and that’s from junior high through high school.”

Adolphson also said that the raffle is the biggest fundraising event for the school district for the year.
