One Arrested After Ongoing Investigation in Monmouth

On Thursday, February 13, 2020, The Monmouth Police Department and Illinois State Police conducted a search warrant at 817 S. C St. in Monmouth. The search was part of an ongoing investigation into a string of residential burglaries that have occurred in Monmouth.  In addition to the search warrant, an arrest warrant was also executed on the occupant, 57-year-old Randall J. Bell of Monmouth, Illinois.

Bell has been charged with six counts of Residential Burglary and one count of Possession of Methamphetamine.  Bell has been taken to the Warren County Sheriff’s Department, where he is currently being held.

Any questions may be directed to the Warren County State’s Attorney’s office. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven in a court of law.
