Mrs. Pamela “Pam” A. Winkler, 64, of Galesburg, Illinois passed away at 4:09 am Friday, February 14, 2020 at Seminary Manor Nursing Home.

Pam was born December 2, 1955 in Galesburg the daughter of David and M. Virgene Toland Winkler. She married her soul mate, Paul Gillaspie on February 29, 2016 in Galesburg.

Pam is survived by her loving husband, Paul of Galesburg; her cousins, Kelly (Dr. James) Semrau of Racine, Wisconsin, Todd Winkler of Alexis, Illinois, Stacey (Ken) Clark of Dallas, Texas and Tricia Johnson of Annapolis, Maryland and her sister-in-law, Donna Olson of Burlington, Iowa. She is preceded in death by her parents and her cousin, Kim Winkler Boelkes in 2007.

Pam owned and operated Pet Pals, a professional pet sitter service, for over 25 years. She graduated from Alexis High school in 1972. Pam was a licensed pilot and flight instructor for many years. She also had worked as casino dealer. Pam also was a licensed cosmetologist, holding her license for many years. To say Pam was an avid animal lover would be an understatement. Pet sitting was one of her greatest joys.

A Memorial Service is scheduled for 11:00 am Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Service Galesburg Chapel. Her cousin, Kelly Semrau will officiate. Visitation will be 10:00-11:00 am Tuesday at the chapel. Burial will be in Alexis Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Knox Pet Clinic, 658 W. Main Street, Galesburg, Illinois, 61401.
