The Reverend Dr. David Joseph Seitz, 77, of Galesburg, Illinois, passed away Sunday afternoon, February 2, 2020.  He was born April 14, 1942, the son of Raymond and Anna (Post) Seitz of Springfield, Missouri. 

David attended Drury College, graduating with a degree in religion and theology.  He then attended seminary at Vanderbilt University, where he later received his doctorate of ministries.  David served the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) churches throughout the Midwest as a pastor as long as his health permitted.  He was also an active member of the Galesburg Rotary Club.

David is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jeanne (Saunders); as well as his two children, John Seitz and Anne (Jeff) Tokazewski; his two grandchildren, Paige and Sean Tokazewski; his sister, Carol (Seitz) Furnas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Cremation will be accorded.  A celebration of life visitation will be 1 to 3 p.m. Friday, February 14, 2020 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel.  A brief prayer service will follow at 3 p.m. lead by Rev.
