Sherie L. Pulse, 56, of Stronghurst, Illinois, passed away Tuesday February 18, 2020.  She was born June 24, 1963 in Tampa, Florida, the daughter of John and Elizabeth “Betty” Woolam Keithley.

Sherie was a 1981 graduate of Southern High School and received her Associate Degree from Robert Morris College in Carthage, Illinois.  She was Vice President and Executive Administrative Assistant of Farmers & Merchants Bank & Trust in Burlington, Iowa.  She was a member of the Burlington Rotary Club, Burlington Eagles Club, and the Parrot-Head Club.  She was also active in many volunteer organizations through F & M Bank & Trust.  She was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing darts.  Her two daughters, and family, were the most important things in her life.

Survivors include two daughters, Savannah Pulse of Stronghurst and Cierra Pulse of Aurora, CO, her mother, Betty Keithley of Stronghurst, her significant other, Brian Bessine of Oquawka, IL, one brother, Jerry Keithley of Burlington, IA, two sisters, Terri (Marvin) Gittings of Lomax, IL, Lorri Keithley of Stronghurst, four nephews, Chris and Luke Gittings, Tim and Jon Keithley, and two nieces, Megan Wakefield and Mikayla Britton.  She was preceded in death by her father and her beloved dog, Bentley.

Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:30 p.m. Friday at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Stronghurst.  The funeral will be at 10:30 A.M. Saturday February 22, 2020 at Banks & Beals. Burial will follow in the Carman Cemetery.  Memorials have been established for the Hope Lodge in Iowa City and Hospice Compassus.  Please visit Sherie’s obituary at banksandbeals.com to sign the guest book and leave a condolence.
