US 67 was temporarily shut down yesterday afternoon after a single vehicle crash occurred. 45 year old Holly Bushie from Burlington, IA was traveling northbound on US 67 in a 2006 International truck/tractor pulling a grain trailer just South of 1150 N in McDonough County. Bushie failed to reduce speed in the snow and slush conditions and lost control partially leaving the roadway on the left. The truck/tractor and trailer jackknifed causing extensive damage to the driver’s side and came to a rest covering both lanes of traffic. Bushie sustained injuries and was transported by ambulance to the McDonough District Hospital.
Bushie has been charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash.
Assistance was provided by Macomb Fire Department, Industry Fire, and Lifeguard Ambulance Service.
All involved parties are innocent until proven guilty.
