Tomorrow, Tuesday March 31, is the last day to apply for grant funding through the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity to receive relief during the coronavirus pandemic. Local Country Financial Agent Tiffany Cole discusses the available grants:
“One of them is specific to the hospitality industry, and basically you can complete this application and your application goes literally into a lottery drawing where they would draw out the ones that would receive funding. Then there is another one specifically for downstate, the downstate stabilization grant. The one you would work through your local government, so the city of the county and that is for businesses that have suffered losses or had to make changes to their operation and have expense to those changes as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. If you are interested in those, definitely get with your local government and the city to get that,” Cole shares.
