OSF HealthCare Holy Family Medical Center will be holding several A1C Screenings throughout the community beginning this Friday, March 13 at Save A Lot Food Store at 9 am until noon. Tina Canada, Diabetes Education Coordinator, shares the screening is for those with diabetes and those wanting to get checked:

“Several opportunities for people here in the community to have that little finger stick just to find out if they have diabetes or pre-diabetes, or if they don’t. That is a good thing to find out as well. No fasting is required and there is no charge for the A1C test,” Canada says.

Other chances to receive a free A1C screening will be:

Wednesday, March 18 at Costello Estates 8 am to noon

Thursday, March 19 at Monmouth College Stockdale Student Center 5:30 to 7:30 pm

Friday, March 20 at Monmouth-Roseville High School for the Staff Wellness Day
