Galesburg Chamber Postpones All Upcoming Events

Share

Dear members and friends of the chamber,   Given current concerns about COVID-19, the Galesburg Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors has decided to postpone our upcoming events and gatherings until further notice. The board believes that it is important for us to act responsibly for the health of our workforce and our community.   At the time of this writing, health officials report there is NO sustained community spread of COVID-19 in the Galesburg area. The chamber’s action is a proactive step to ensure we remain a healthy community.
This means that all chamber events scheduled for the foreseeable future will be postponed. Chamber board and committee meetings may continue as scheduled via conference call. We will monitor the situation closely and notify our membership by email when we resume events that involve close contact with others.
I have personally been in contact with chamber members directly affected by this change. We recognize that these can be difficult decisions, but we believe this is in the best interests of our businesses, our membership, and our community. If you have any questions, please contact me by email or at 309-343-1194.
