KCAP Annual Breakfast in April

Share

The Knox County Area Partnership (KCAP) annual leadership breakfast will be held on Friday, April 17th at Cedar Creek Hall in Galesburg. KCAP President Ken Springer states the event is for anyone wanting to be engaged in economic development and will feature Keynote Speaker Rachel Bartels:

“We are bringing in an awesome Keynote Speaker this year. Her name is Rachel Bartels, from an organization called Hello West Michigan. Hello West Michigan is at the forefront right now of communities doing targeted talented recruitment strategies, meaning they go out and bring in workers to move to the West Michigan region and fill key jobs that are open. To date, Hello West Michigan has recruited over 1,300 professionals to the West Michigan area. It is a very interesting way to do economic development, but I think the topic of workforce and population loss are topics that we have been really focused on here in the last couple of years. Rachel has some really interesting things to say and an interesting approach on how the West Michigan area has been tackling this problem,” Springer reports.

The breakfast will begin at 7:45 and is free to attend.
