Due to the COVID-19, the Warren County YMCA will be closed until further notice. Sam Brooks, CEO of Warren County YMCA said it’s been a difficult decision because the Y feels a heavy responsibility to the thousands of people who count on the YMCA for their health journey, some of which are considered an absolute need for their everyday livelihood….
“This was not a decision that was taken lightly. We have so many people that depend on the Y. We have elderly, and people that depend on us for their health needs in terms of just keeping their fitness levels to a certain point. We have at risk kids who come to the YMCA because literally this is their only save haven from a very poor home life. So, this isn’t something that we took lightly. We fought it as long as we could, but unfortunately this is the decision that we needed to come to.”
The YMCA is offering fitness information and written exercise programs that can be done in the home of any YMCA member age 60 years and older. They will deliver to your home or drop in the mail. Brooks adds they want to help you all maintain your fitness level that you have worked so hard to achieve.
