Maxine E. Sage, 89, of Roseville, IL passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2020, 2:35 a.m. at the Roseville Rehab and Healthcare Center, Roseville, IL.  She was born Tuesday, November 4, 1930, in Monmouth, IL, the daughter of Maurice and Lela (Munson) Cokel.  She married Marvin Sage on January 3, 1953, in Monmouth, IL., he preceded her in death on May 31, 2006.

Maxine is survived by her daughter, Deb Manes of Roseville; her son Tim Sage, grandchildren, Dennis Manes, Josh Manes, and Sam Sage; two brothers, Lawrence Cokel and Julius Cokel.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother.

Maxine loved to garden and tend her tomatoes.  She enjoyed her grandsons and great granddaughter.  She loved flowers, especially her petunias.  Maxine enjoyed watching hummingbirds.

Due to social distancing limitations related to the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be no visitation.  There will be a private graveside service on Friday, April 24, 2020, in the Roseville Memorial Park Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the Shriners Children’s Hospital.  Please sign the online guestbook at www.wisefamilyfuneralhome.com.  Wise family Funeral Home Roseville, IL is in charge of the arrangements.
