Mr. Salvador “Sal” “Chavillo” Campos, 25, of Roseville, Illinois formerly of Galesburg, Illinois died 9:39 a.m., Monday, March 30, 2020 in McDonough County. 

He was born January 5, 1995 in Chicago, Illinois to Salvador and Celia Magallanes Campos. 

Surviving are his parents of Galesburg, a sister, Cristina (and Abraham Tavera) Campos of Galesburg, a brother, Manuel Campos of Galesburg and a niece, Marie Tavera.  He is preceded in death by his grandparents and an infant brother. 

Salvador graduated from Galesburg High School in 2013.  He served in the United States Army Reserve following high school.  He was a welder and fabricator for Modern Grain Systems in Avon, Illinois.  He took a lot of pride in his welding abilities.  He enjoyed the outdoors including off-roading and mudding in his truck.  He loved his dogs, Hank and Hannah.  Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.  Salvador always had a contagious smile to share and will be missed by many. 

Due to social distancing limitations related to the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be a private viewing and private graveside service.  Burial will be in East Linwood Cemetery, Galesburg.  Memorials may be made to the family.  Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Service Galesburg Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.  Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com
