Share

The Performing Arts Society (PAS) at Western Illinois University is now accepting applications for its bi-annual Community Arts Grant program.

The grant is available to students, student organizations or professional artists living in McDonough County, or to civic entities or organizations that promote the arts. The program supports community and audience development and works to increase the public awareness of the need and value of the performing arts.

The grant program supports arts in the community or travel for regional and national performance opportunities.

WIU faculty members who are eligible for the PAS Arts Grant are not eligible to apply.

The deadline for this semester’s applications has been extended to Monday, June 1 for events occurring July 1 – Dec. 31. The applications will then be reviewed by the PAS Arts Grant Committee and submitted to the PAS Board of Directors for approval.

The PAS assists the WIU College of Fine Arts and Communication in raising money to support arts programming through the Youth Performing Arts Series, the BCA and other programming centered on the arts at Western and in the Macomb community.

For additional information or to obtain a grant application visit wiu.edu/pas or call (309) 298-1618.
