Mrs. Alberta L. Gerk, 73, of Galesburg, Illinois died 9:12 p.m. Monday, May 18, 2020 at her home.  She was born March 1, 1947 in Salisbury, Missouri to Harold Alfred and Blanche Lee (Williams) Woolridge.  She married Tony J. Gerk, Sr. in 1965 in Galesburg.  He preceded her in death January 6, 2011. 

Surviving is a son T. J. Gerk, II of Galesburg, a daughter, Tonya L. Rose of Galesburg, a sister, Nina Woolridge of Galesburg, two grandchildren, Tiffany L. Rose and Whitney L. Rose, and many great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Ralph Woolridge, and a sister, Janie Lee Woolridge. 

Alberta was a homemaker and enjoyed raising her two children.  She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Galesburg. 

There will be a private family viewing at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Service Galesburg Chapel followed by a graveside service at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 21, 2020 at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Galesburg.  Father Jacob Rose will officiate.  Memorials may be made to the family.  Online condolences may be posted at www.h-p-w.com
