Bobby Gene Frazier, 82, of Galesburg, died at 6 p.m. Saturday, May 9, 2020 at home.
Bobby was born January 8, 1938 in Clifton Hill, MO, the son of Ebert Jackson and Polly (Powell) Frazier. He married Linda Kay Fordyce in Galesburg. She survives. Bobby is also survived by three brothers, Maurice Frazier of Knoxville, Jack (Sharon) Frazier of and Roger (Jenny) Frazier both of Galesburg. Along with his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael and Junior; and two sisters, Wanda Doubler and Marilyn Kay Wall.
Bobby began working at Play-Mor Bowling in Galesburg as a pin setter. He worked there until Northgate Lanes was constructed where he helped finish and open the bowling alley. He worked for 61 years as a pin setter and head mechanic until retiring in 2019. Bobby was a top-notch mechanic and could fix anything. He was a jack of all trades. He rebuilt his family home from the ground up. He loved his dogs. Bobby was a long-time member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Abingdon as well as being a life member of the 3rd and 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He was inducted to the Galesburg Association Bowling Hall of Fame.
