Mrs. Marilyn J. Adams, 93, of Galesburg, Illinois died 7:30 a.m. Friday, May 22, 2020 at Aperion Care, North in Galesburg. 

She was born October 23, 1926 in Galesburg to Leo and Pauline (Swanson) Sauter.  She married N. Oscar Adams April 21, 1945 in Galesburg.  He preceded her in death November 2, 2008. 

Surviving is a daughter, Becky (and Stan) Mason of Galesburg, a granddaughter, Emily J. Henry of Galesburg and a great granddaughter, Delaney Henry of Galesburg.  She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Ronald D. Adams on March 1, 2015 and three brothers, Leonard Sauter, Carl Sauter and Kenneth Sauter. 

Marilyn graduated from Galesburg High School in 1944.  She worked for Tobler Transfer Trucking Company in Galesburg for over 15 years and retired in 1985.  She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Galesburg.  Marilyn devoted her life to taking care of her family. 

Private graveside service will be Thursday, May 28, 2020 at Memorial Park Cemetery, Galesburg.  Deacon Michael Crummer will officiate.  Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.  Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Service Galesburg Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.  Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com
