Monmouth-Roseville senior standout catcher Biancha Luna announced she is going to continue her softball career at next level. She will be staying home to play for her hometown Monmouth College Fighting Scots. Coming off a junior year that ended with an All-West Central Conference North Division team selection, Luna was expecting big things this spring for Monmouth-Roseville, only to have her season cut short by the coronavirus pandemic. She hit for a .388 average, while slugging five home runs and scored 18 runs…..all team-leading totals. Luna, who was originally recruited by John Goddard, will play for new Scot’s head coach Alexa McLaughry. McLaughry was recently announced as the new head coach following Goddard’s retirement after 13 seasons at the helm.
