Security Savings Bank Looks To Reopen Lobby June 15th

Share

Monday, June 15th is the target date Security Savings Bank is aiming for to reopen their lobby to the public. President and CEO Brad Ray shares over the past two months the bank had been operating in two team shifts:

“The Last two months we have been working, we split up into two teams just to do some prevention in case there was a ramp up on infection rates and things like that. So we had been doing that over the past two months and we are going to go back to one team. We will all be back together as a whole group, with the exception of maybe our teller area in our branch in Stronghurst where they have a little bit closer of proximity of a workspace. So we will be alternating some of those employees still, but the rest of us in the bank will be there in full force,” Ray states.

Appointments for transactions can still be made up until the 15th when the lobby will reopen to foot traffic.

Funds are still available in the Payroll Protection Program says Security Savings Bank President and CEO Brad Ray:

“Just to let the small businesses know out there, if they have not participated in the program yet, I would certainly encourage them to review that information. That information is available on the SBA website, SBA.gov. There are still funds available. I know our rate of applications that have come into the bank over the last two weeks have really slowed down. Any local small businesses, and local sole proprietor, and that would include farmers, they are considered a sole proprietor as well. If there are any of those individuals that have not had the opportunity to take advantage of that program yet, I would encourage them to do so. There are funds available. The approval process in pretty painless and pretty quick,” Ray reports.

The first funds distributed in the middle of April will reach their eight week period of tracking expenses for loan forgiveness in the middle of June, but the SBA, Congress, and the Treasury are still working to finalize some of the rules.
