Discovery Depot Children’s Museum Has Reopened Its’ Doors to the Public

The Discovery Depot Children’s Museum in Galesburg has opened back up to the public, but under a very different model says Executive Director Denise Bradburn:

“During this Phase Three of Restore Illinois, the Discovery Depot Children’s Museum has opened its’ doors. Our model is different. At this point in time you have to make a reservation with the program called RSVP To Play. We have several time slots throughout the days we are open, Monday through Sunday every week. Folks that want to come visit just have to call the museum or email to reserve their time slot. The way those time slots work is you get an hour and a half to play, forty-five minutes on each floor, then we make an announcement and you switch floors with the other guests. This allows us then to fit into that model of ten people at a time in a space. That is sort of how it works,” Bradburn reports.

To schedule a reservation to play, contact the Discovery Depot at 309-344-8876 or by emailing visitorservices@discoverydepot.org.
