Mrs. Jane Ellison Allen, 68, of Galesburg, Illinois died 10:15 a.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at her home. 

She was born May 29, 1952 in Galesburg to Maynard and Anastasia (Joseph) Ellison.  She married Stephen Thurman.  She later married Darrell “Squeak” Allen.  He preceded her in death March 1, 2011.

Surviving is a son-in-law, Francis McKillip of Galesburg, two brothers, Maynard Ellison of Moline, Illinois and Tim (and Martie) Ellison of Galesburg, a sister, Susie (and Jack) Carson of Galesburg, a sister-in-law, Lynn (and Craig) Unrath of Knoxville, two grandsons, Joel McKillip and Brian McKillip both of Galesburg, a special friend, Rob Herrin of Galesburg, and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Racheal McKillip on April 24, 2017, and infant son, Gregory Allen, a sister, Cheryl Maner, and an infant sister, Mary Ellison. 

Jane graduated from Galesburg High School in 1970 and attended Carl Sandburg College.  She worked for Outboard Marine Corporation, Gale Products Division.  She later was a quality control manager for National Seal Corporation in Galesburg, then South Carolina, and later Texas.  She retired in 2016 and moved back to Galesburg to help take care of her daughter.  She was of the Catholic faith.  Jane enjoyed gardening and loved animals.  She loved talking and spending time with her family, especially her two grandsons. 

Cremation will be accorded.  There will be no visitation or funeral service.  Cremation burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery with her daughter, Racheal.  Memorials may be made to METAvivor.  Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Service Galesburg Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.  Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com
