Knox County hits 100 COVID-19 cases

Over the weekend, the Knox County Health Department (KCHD) announced four additional cases of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19), bringing the total positive cases to 100. The new cases include 2 males in their 30s, a female in her 40s and a male in his 90s. Public health officials are working to identify and actively monitor individuals who were in direct contact with these residents in an effort to reduce the risk of additional transmission.
The Knox County Unified Command reiterates that residents are encouraged to be vigilant and continue to take protective measures to prevent the spread of illness within the community. Everyone has a vital role to play in staying healthy and keeping others healthy. Continue implementing social distancing to limit the spread of the virus, stay at home as much as possible, and wear face-coverings when out in public. Be mindful of those who are at greater risk for contracting this virus.
