Stolen Property recovered

On June 25th 2020 the Henderson and McDonough County Sheriff’s Offices received credible information regarding the whereabouts of stolen property in Warren County.

On June 26th 2020 the Warren and Henderson County Sheriff’s Offices conducted a consensual search of a property located near Smithshire. The search yielded numerous items of stolen property belonging to victims in Warren, Henderson, and Hancock Counties, worth in excess of $50,000.

This matter remains an active investigation and the Sheriff’s Office is in the process of contacting victims to return the property to its rightful owner.

In addition to those mentioned, The Warren County Sheriff’s Office would also like to extend thanks to the Stronghurst Police Department, and Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway Police.
