Betty Jo Vogler, 58, went to her peaceful place on July 24, 2020 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg, after a long and brave battle with COPD.  She was a life-long resident of Galesburg.

Betty was born on August 10, 1961 in Galesburg to Glenn William and June Marie (Duvall) Suydam.  Betty is survived by her husband of 40 years, “the love of her life,” Mike Vogler; two sons, Jacob (Brittany) Vogler and Jesse Vogler, both of Galesburg; and one granddaughter, Chloe Vogler.  She is also survived by her siblings, Sara Dutton of Knoxville, Russell Suydam of Wichita Falls, TX, Glenda Harvey of Colorado Springs, CO, and Cheryl (Rodney) Hanson of Galesburg.  Betty was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Robert Suydam and David Hilligoss; a sister, Marilyn Kocher; and a niece Kathy Dutton.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Betty’s pride and joy was her granddaughter, Chloe, who she loved sharing photos and stories.  Betty had a big heart, found the good in people, and provided support and encouragement to those in need.  Her passing leaves a hole in the many hearts of those she touched.

Cremation has been accorded.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg.  No services are planned.  Online expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.watsonthomas.com
