Carabeth Benson, 82, of Galesburg, died at 2:06 a.m. Tuesday, July 28, 2020, at home.

She was born June 27, 1938, in Biggsville, the daughter of Earl M. and Martha H. (Dunham) Plummer.  She married to Jack L. Savidge on December 29, 1965.  He preceded her in death on February 10, 1984.  She later married Warren “Tim” Benson on October 14, 1984, in Dahinda.  He preceded her in death on February 8, 2007.

She is survived by a step son, Cam (Crystal) Junkin of Arizona; two step daughters, Carol (Walt) Foster of Canada and Kim (John) Linn of Wyoming; six grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; a brother, Douglas Mac (Annella) Plummer of Galesburg; three sisters, Earleen Farrell, Dorothy (Ray) Pickrel, and Susan Perschnick, all of Galesburg; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Nancy Craig.

Carabeth worked at Galesburg Midwest Credit Union for 30 years before retiring.  She was a former member of Dahinda United Methodist Church.  She graduated from Galesburg High School in 1956 and then Youngs Beauty School.  Carabeth enjoyed collecting antiques.

Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Monday, August 3, 2020, in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens.  There will be no visitation.  Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.  Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel is handling arrangements for the family.  Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
