Mrs. Delia “Dee” M. Carroll, 88, of Galesburg, Illinois died at 5:20 p.m. July 26, 2020 at Aperion Care North, Galesburg. 

She was born August 14, 1931 in Galesburg to Lawrence Stanley and Agatha Juanita (Trone) Mitchell.  She married Robert L. Carroll August 29, 1954 in Galesburg. 

Surviving are her son, James S. (and Ann) Carroll of Woodstock, Georgia, three grandchildren, Amanda, Steven, and Alex Carroll, all of Georgia, and two sisters, Shirley Christianson of Buellton, California, and Ellen Wignall of Altona, Illinois.

She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Jim, Charles and Everett Mitchell, and four sisters, Anna Craig, Betty Severns, Dorcas M. Elander, and Reva Lytle.

Dee graduated from Galesburg High School.  She was a homemaker.  She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and United Methodist Church in Georgia. 

Cremation will be accorded.  No service is planned at this time.  Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Service Galesburg Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.  Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.  Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com
