Beginning Monday, July 13th, East Euclid will be closed for a couple weeks from the 100 block to 6th Street for City Crews to replace a water main. City of Monmouth Communications Director Ken Helms reports the project is funded under the State CDBG program:
“Monmouth has had a lot of luck with those. We basically snag one about every year. Wherever that goes in, it has to meet certain requirements based on the surrounding household income. Just what the market is there and a number of different economic factors that get pushed in there, but we have done very well with that. It is going to replace from the 100 block of East Euclid all the way to 6th Street,” Helms states.
The City of Monmouth Public Works Department completed 292 work orders last month.
