Kathleen A.(Bellis) Olmsted, age 85, of Galesburg, Illinois and formerly
of Monmouth; passed away at 5:50 am on July 6, 2020 at Marigold Nursing
Home in Galesburg.  Kathleen was born on June 2, 1935 in Monmouth,
Illinois and is the daughter of Ernest John and Dorothy Bertram Bellis.
She was raised in Monmouth where she attended local schools and
graduated from Monmouth High School in the class of 1953. She then
attended Augustana College in Moline, Illinois. Kathleen married Rodney
Stuart Olmsted on June 6, 1959 in the First Lutheran Church of Monmouth,
Illinois. She first worked at Formfit Company in Monmouth and later was
a receptionist at Jumer’s Restaurant of Galesburg, IL. and lastly was
secretary and receptionist for the American Red Cross in Galesburg,
Illinois. Kathleen was raised in the Lutheran Church of Monmouth and
when she was in High School she started the J. W. (just for Women) Club.

She is survived by her husband, Rodney S. Olmsted of Galesburg, IL and
one daughter Tracey L. (Olmsted) Hall of Roseville, Illinois. There are
two granddaughters, Kaylyn G. Hall of Lafayette, IN. and Jessica L. Hall
of Roseville, IL. Two sisters survive, Christa M. Waller of Monmouth, IL
and Jill DePue and Robert of Athens, OH. There are three brothers, John
Bellis in Florida, John Elliott in Cedar Rapids, IA, and Brian Elliott
of Monmouth, Illinois. Her nephews, Kristen Waller, Brandon Elliott, and
Derek Atherton are surviving and her nieces, Lacey and Brooke Elliot.
She is preceded in her death by her father, Ernest Bellis and mother,
Dorothy Elliott; and her step mother, Judith Bellis. and step father,
Charles Elliott, her niece, Carrie Atherton and brother in law, William
(Bill) Waller also precede her in her death.

A funeral service for Kathleen A.  Olmsted is planned for Saturday July
11, 2020 at 10:30 am at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth, Illinois.
Friends may call and pay their respects anytime on Friday and Saturday
at the funeral as no specific hours for family visitation are being
planned. Interment will be in the Warren County Memorial Park Cemetery.
A memorial fund is being established for the American Red Cross.
