New COVID-19 cases in Warren and McDonough Counties

On Wednesday and Thursday (7-01 & 7-02) the Warren County Health Department announced 3 additional confirmed cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19), bringing the total cases in Warren County to 141. The new cases includes a male between the ages of 0 to 10, a female between the ages of 0 to 10, and a female between the ages of 60 and 80. Most cases have experienced mild symptoms. 105 individuals have had their symptoms resolve. Due to federal privacy restrictions, release of any additional information is prohibited. To date there have been 943 negative tests.

COVID-19 is spreading in the community and residents should be taking precautions to prevent the spread of illness. The health department advises following the social distancing recommendations.

  • Stay home when you are sick
  • avoid mass gatherings and large crowds
  • all non-essential activities need to be avoided
  • keep a 6 foot distance between others
  • wear a cloth mask when out in public
  • work from home as much as possible

The McDonough County Health Department (MCHD) announces one additional McDonough County resident has tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the total number of positive cases to 102. The new case includes 1 male in his 20s.
