The Rotary Club of Monmouth will host its annual BBQ Tuesday, August 4, 2020 from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. at the Pattee Plaza, 115 W. Broadway, Monmouth, Illinois (across from the Warren County Court House). The BBQ is open to all. Marcum Spears, Rotary Co-Chair, shares it is a free will carry-out only:

“Just show up and ask for a meal. You don’t need a ticket. It is all good will donations this year. We did not sell tickets due to the COVID crisis and we are doing it based on a good will donation. We are preparing 700 meals and we hope to give all of those away,” says Spears.

Meals are free; a goodwill offering is suggested. All proceeds will support the Jamieson Community Center Weekend Meals program and the Monmouth-Roseville School District COVID-19 “Face Shield” Program.

The meal will consist of a pork chop sandwich, chips, applesauce, and a brownie. A ticket is not required for a meal. There are a limited number of meals and will be on a first come first serve basis. Everyone is encouraged to attend early.
