Warren Achievement Center Receives Grant to Bring Learning and Entertainment to Residential Facilities

Share

Throughout the pandemic the Warren Achievement Center Day Program has been shut down and the residents have been sheltering in place. Staff can now bring learning and enjoyable experiences to their residences virtually using a grant that was received to place smart TVs and iPad’s to each location, says Marketing Coordinator Sean Cavanaugh:

“Those living there can take a virtual tour of a museum. They can take an exercise class, learn some cooking instruction, all types of wonderful exciting opportunities. Here is a fun one. With one of the grants we got, we were able to purchase iPad’s for each of the residential locations, and I had a great idea; they are going to use the iPad’s and each residential facility is going to put n their own little show. Everyone will get a turn to be the host. They will interview their fellow housemates and then they can share their shows with the other residential houses as a way to say hello,” Cavanaugh shares.

September 1st is the tentative date for reopening the Day Program Services at Warren Achievement Center.
