Carlos D. Wright, 48, of Galesburg, died unexpectedly on Monday, August 10, 2020, in the emergency room of OSF St. Mary Medical Center.
He was born December 22, 1971, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of Tanya A. Wright-Brown and Gerald Barnes. He married Beverly Pulse in 1998, in Galesburg.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly; children, Jeremy, London, Cierra, Latwana, Tianna, Montana, Brett, Carissa, and Erika; grandchildren, Montaya, Orlando, Gabriella, Zayne, Adyen, Kaleia, Baylee, and Breanna; his father, Gerald Barnes of Cincinnati; a sister, Latwana Wright of Cincinnati; and a brother, Jerry Barnes of Cincinnati. He was preceded in death by his mom.
Carlos was raised and educated in Cincinnati, where he graduated from Woodward High School in 1989. He enjoyed cooking and watching science fiction television shows and movies. Carlos loved spending time with his family and friends. He was loved by many and will be sorely missed.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, August 22, 2020, at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel. Following the visitation, Carlos will be transferred to Cincinnati, where he will be laid to rest in Spring Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
