The McDonough County Health Department (MCHD) is announcing an outbreak at Dairy Queen in Bushnell, IL as well as public exposures to COVID-19 at Dairy Queen in Bushnell IL on 8/25/20 and 8/27/20. There were also public exposures to COVID-19 at Chick’s on the Square in Macomb IL on 8/23/20, 8/25/20 and 8/26/20. The McDonough County Health Department is working with all of these businesses to provide guidance and to mitigate this situation. Each of these facilities is following CDC guidelines regarding cleaning and disinfection of their facility. Individuals who visited these facilities on any of these dates should monitor for symptoms. Individuals who are experiencing symptoms should seek testing.
In the course of their contact tracing investigation efforts, The McDonough County Health Department (MCHD) was also informed of a public exposure to COVID-19 at Buffalo Wild Wings in Macomb IL on 8/21/20 and 8/22/20 and 8/24/20. An updated list of symptoms reported among patients with COVID-19 includes mild to severe respiratory illness with fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of sense of taste and/or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, and diarrhea. Please remain vigilant about keeping germs from spreading by covering coughs and sneezes, washing hands with soap and warm water, and staying home when sick. If
