Mrs. Evelyn Louise Bridger, 81, of Galesburg, Illinois died 10:40 p.m. Saturday, August 29, 2020 at Aperion Care, North, Galesburg. 

She was born January 28, 1939 in Mercer County, Illinois to Theodore and Theresa (Wilson) Selser, Sr.  She married George Bridger December of 1959.

Surviving are three sons, Roy Meyer of Fort Meyers, Florida, James (and Deb) Bridger of Galesburg and William Bridger of Galesburg, two brothers, George Selser of Galesburg and Carl Selser of Galesburg, four grandchildren and one great grandchild.  She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Ted Selser, and two sisters, Lois Cameron and Betty Barbero.

Evelyn attended Keithsburg Schools.  She worked for Black’s Transit Service as a driver for 15 years.  She also was a waitress and a cashier for several stores in Galesburg.  She enjoyed reading and baking.  She was a Los Angeles Dodger fan.  She loves spending time with her family. 

Cremation will be accorded.  A committal service will be 4:00 p.m. Friday, September 11, 2020 at East Linwood Cemetery, Scattering Garden.  Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Service Galesburg Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.  Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.  Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com
