Fusion Tech Provides Protective Shields to Smithfield and Local Businesses During Pandemic

Share

A local business that provides solutions to the food processing industry was able to adapt and develop new products during the COVID-19 shutdown. Dan Bentz, Vice President of Sales at Fusion Tech in rural Roseville says they were able to provide Smithfield and other businesses with protective shields for their workers safety:

“When the original shelter in place order was announced, Fusion Tech was deemed essential, since most of what we do is in the food world. So we really didn’t miss a beat. One of the things we tried to do to help give back to those other employees that were deemed essential to work was to try and protect them or give them some sense of security. We developed a poly-carbonate shield, which we called a COVID-19 guarding that we have provided to the Smithfields of the world and really threw it out to our main customer base in the food industry and it really took off for them. Then it evolved into guarding for local businesses as well,” shares Bentz.

Bentz says along with safety and sanitation products, they were able to develop a mobile fogging unit. The unit is considered a nanounit and can help to protect surfaces during the sanitation process. The unit is designed for 40,000 cubic foot rooms as well as a hand held unit for smaller businesses, church’s and schools.
