Mr. George T. “Terry” Voeller, 75, formerly of Galesburg passed away at the University Rehab in Peoria at 10:08 am Saturday, August 8, 2020 after a steady decline in health over a number of years.

Terry was born January 23, 1945 in Moline, Illinois the son of George William and Marjorie Ellen (Carlson) Voeller. He married Ricky K. (Moe) Tolbert for nearly 30 years, she survives. He later married Kim L. Watkins on June 11, 1999 in Peoria.

Also surviving is his daughter, Lisa A. (David) Cooper and related grandson, Nick Hogrefe all of Chicago; his son, Michael T. (Kim) Voeller of Morton, Illinois and related grandchildren, Austin (Leah) Voeller and Ashli (Nate) Jensen and three great grandchildren, Rowan Voeller and Aria and Malachi Jensen.  He is preceded in death by his parents.

Terry began working with his father at the Ken Company Distributors based in Galesburg. He would ultimately take over ownership of the company upon his father’s retirement. Terry was a “jack-of-all-trades” when it came to building and fixing things.

Terry enjoyed old muscle cars, hunting and fishing with his son and friends. His love of dogs and cats was always present. He was even known to enjoy playing a few slot machines with close friends in his later years.

In remembrance of Terry, please go out and celebrate nature and drive an old car to honor his life.

Visitation is scheduled from 10:00-11:00 am Monday, August 17, 2020 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel. Due to social distancing limitations related to the COVID-19 pandemic, face masks will be required.  Graveside services will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.  In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Knox County Humane Society or the Galesburg Rescue Mission.
